Happy 15th Babe!

It seems like just yesterday 2 very crazy, naive kids got married but what an awesome adventure it has been.  To celebrate 15 years we were able to spend a short, but amazing, 36 hours in Paris.  My great friend, Megan, offered to watch our kids, so we booked a short getaway. Thank you Megan!

We took the TGV from Zürich to Paris, only 4 hours. So we left home at 8 am and arrived just in time for lunch.....yum!

First stop, a Boulangerie of course.

Yes, we did buy one of each. And ate them all. Oh Paris, I love you!

Can't beat that view. The Eiffel tower of course.

Shopping without kids......a very pleasant experience

A little breakfast to get us going.

Eating again.  Best meal ever. L'Astrance, full review to follow.

Pastries to die for. Yes, we ate our little hearts out.

And how should one remember how they celebrated their 15th anniversary? Maybe love tattoos?  Won't be forgetting that anniversary. Happy Anniversary babe!

Fasnacht

Fasnacht is like Carnival, held every February. The Swiss tradition is everyone dresses up. But these are not batman costumes, they are usually amazing, unique costumes, many homemade.

They hold a kids Fasnacht party every year in Zürich. It includes a cart of confetti being paraded around old town with kids and music. We also have a similar parade in our small town. Josie was really into it this year. The boys were into pegging people with confetti.

Happy birthday!

How do they grow up so fast? Jonah was only 3 when we moved here and now he is 9? It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming this sweet boy into our life. He surprised us coming into the world 3 weeks early and has been surprising us ever since with his fun loving personality.

Some of his favorite things.....lasagna, Shel Silverstein books, riding his scooter,
waking up early, turnen (after school PE class), building things in the shed,
and cooking.

His birthday wish.....a giant banana split.

Winter....snow, snow, snow.....

It's hard to believe it's the end of March. We are happy to be saying goodbye to the snow but enjoyed it while it lasted.....sledding, skiing and snowboarding.....But now bring on Spring & Summer!!!

Family in town

Let's see if I can catch us up....

We love having visitors and we were so happy when Brett (Jason's brother) and Kymee decided to come visit us over Christmas. It was so much fun catching up with them and showing them a glimpse of our life.
It was also the first time for the kids to meet their cousin, Lucas. What a cutie! Hopefully they'll be back soon as Kymee is from this side of the pond.
*I'm trying out a mobile app for blogging but the editing options are limited.... So you'll be getting pictures ohne narration.

We enjoyed Christmas markets, shopping, sightseeing, the mountains, and each others company. We miss you guys!!!!
